Hey everyone, been a little while since I’ve last written, hope everyone’s been well. I’ve been busy with this or that, and I haven’t had the chance to sit down and have a writer’s mindset to put something to paper. Fortunately though, I’ve been keeping record of a few topics I’d like to write about and I think they should be interesting reads – so i look forward to that.

Meanwhile, I’ve learned that a good friend of mine is quite deeply into modern conspiracy theories and has some depth of knowledge on mythology and how it relates to our present times. He recommended that I watch a couple of DVD’s so i can get myself acquainted – and as promised, both have been very, very interesting and have got my head whirling with newly-found concepts and, being me, I’ve been questioning the details of each.

The first is one that I’ve heard of before, but had never had the chance to watch. It’s called The Zeitgeist, its about 2hrs long and can be watched for free through this link. It focuses on a number of issues, but mainly on:

- The history of Christianity – how history shows the connection with astrology and the 25th of December of every year when the sun reaches its equinox and it starts to rise again and how religions have been symbolizing that date through religions and religious concepts

- The 9/11 attacks of 2001 and an alternate theory stating that the catastrophe was planned and had its objectives

- The U.S. federal reserve bank and how money supply is maliciously controlled and its effects on world currency and ultimately, world domination

My take it on is that although the documentary makes a good number of points and it truly delivers clear evidence for many it was slightly all over the place – the arguments  were good, but varied.. put simply. In the end, the message is for people to raise their self-awareness as well as the awareness of their surroundings – which really isn’t a bad thing.

The second was David Icke’s “Freedom or Fascism”. Now this is actually not a documentary, but a lecture. It’s presented by a renowned conspiracy theorist that mainly focuses his arguments around the idea that the world is controlled by a secret society, nicknamed “The Illuminati”. The lectures about 6-7hrs long, but don’t let that scare you, it’s very interesting throughout (although i will comment on the 3rd section in a bit) and i found myself wanting to go back and watch more every time i had to pause. You can watch it through these links:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

If i put The Zeitgeist and Freedom or Fascism side by side and compare, I’d give The Zeitgeist a 4/10 and Freedom or Fascism 9/10. It really is interesting, intruiging, and thought-provoking. It’s very well presented and has a singular idea, which the arguments center around.

The first two parts are focused on the history of the secret societies throughout the ages and their movements throughout the world, he then explains where they see themselves in the ‘pyramid’ of society and how they manage to stay behind the shadows – he even goes into why they do it and the details of how disadvantaged we are as an unknowing populace. He calls it “The Five Senses Theory”.

He details many uncovered plans by The Illuminati for the future towards world domination and has a few predictions on how they would go about (and have gone about) in doing that, in what he calls the “Problem-Reaction-Solution”.

Finally, he gives his idea on how humans can break free from the “matrix” of invisible slavery, and although his points are good and they certainly bring about a liberating endpoint I found it a little flaky – okay maybe flaky isn’t the word, but a little shallow. After what was a very well constructed argument, the third and final section is slightly baseless for me – maybe you’ll know what I mean if and when you see it. (he also touches on the so-called Law of Attraction – in my opinion, there’s really no base to that argument and it really shouldn’t be called a law – it’s barely a theory!)

Anyway, these are a couple of my recommendations. And i know this is not usually my topic to write about, but they are in fact very interesting to watch and I wouldn’t post them here if I didn’t think they were very much worth your time.

Until next time!
